St. Charles County Engages Community Through Events

Staff Report / StCharles

This week in St. Charles County, several events and initiatives highlighted community engagement and public safety.

The St. Charles County Police Department engaged with residents in the Whitmoor Subdivision of Weldon Spring, where they discovered strong support for the city’s initiatives.

On Wednesday, the Dispatch Operation Managers took part in a certification program sponsored by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA). During the event, a group visited to pray for first responders in remembrance of the events of 9/11.

Additionally, the St. Charles County Regional Emergency Management hosted its first session of the Emergency Preparedness Citizen Academy. This program aims to educate participants on how to better prepare for emergencies and the support available from local and national agencies during disasters.

Finally, work on the mural at the Historic Courthouse is nearing completion, and community members are encouraged to visit and see the finished artwork once it is unveiled.
