St. Charles County Celebrates Dispatcher, Community Events

Staff Report / StCharles

St. Charles County, Missouri, is celebrating several notable events this week.

One dispatcher in training, Ashley, played a vital role in delivering a baby girl and was honored with an Award of Excellence and a Stork Pin. This award is given to first responders who assist in delivering babies outside of a hospital setting.

On Thursday, St. Charles County Public Health and St. Charles County Regional Emergency Management took part in the Ready & Able Summit. This event focused on planning and preparing for emergencies and brought together various agencies that support individuals with access and functional needs.

Additionally, the National Equestrian Center hosted the Saint Louis National Charity Horse Show, attracting competitors from across the nation for this annual event.

Finally, Emergency Management concluded its first Emergency Preparedness Citizen Academy this week. Participants who completed the program received a starter emergency go-bag, a collaborative effort with the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
